Key Texts: Gal. 3:19
- You are NOT owed an apology. “Against You and You ONLY have I sinned and done this wickedness in YOUR sight oh God.” said the psalmist. Just because you are effected directly or indirectly from another’s sin, does NOT make them accountable to you – but to God. Vengeance BELONGS to God and so therefore DOES NOT belong to YOU! So what does the scripture tell the offended to do? Tell the offender what they did to hurt you and give them the opportunity to repent (change their minds) this may or may not inspire an apology and that is not up to you. If they change their mind, forgive.
- Your physical highest good IS NOT God’s primary goal. Furthering His kingdom within the hearts of mankind is – you as his covenant child MUST spend yourself on that goal. In this way you have been freed from the bondage of self-service and freed to Loving God.
